Life Lines - a performance about hospitals and oxygen

During a residency at Royal Brompton Hospital I met patients with cystic fibrosis. They had to deal with being connected to so many lines and tubes, primarily supplying oxygen. I made paper articulated figures in situations playfully connected with gases and air. Backlit photos of these images were printed onto acrylic panels and installed on the Victorian staircase leading to the ward. Assisted by Zsuza Kohan I developed this 15 minute piece which we performed at the hospital and at Jacksons Lane Theatre, London,  music was by Victoria Hume.
